Emmy Award winner Michael Swanson is a Hollywood studio executive, film producer and theatre producer. He is also a visionary entrepreneur and President & CEO of the Los Angeles entertainment company, Faith Filmworks.

As a senior vice president at Universal Studio Group, Michael is the studio executive responsible for the production of Universal Television’s Parks and RecreationThe Good PlaceBrooklyn Nine-NineMaster of NoneGood GirlsNever Have I EverCommunity and Hacks.

Throughout his distinguished career in entertainment, Michael has produced movies and documentaries to critical and audience acclaim including All About YouAll About UsFor the Love of RuthTo Hell and BackAndraé Crouch: Making The JourneyTwo SeasonsNotre Dame First Time Fans: Legacy and The Wayman Tisdale Story.

On Broadway, Michael is involved with the Tony Award winning hit musical, Ain’t Too Proud: The Life and Times of The Temptations, and its national tour. Michael is also developing and producing the Broadway bound musical, I’ll Be There, about Motown’s Four Tops.

After attending Princeton Theological Seminary, Michael joined NBC’s “Must See TV” primetime sales team in New York City that became the first in broadcast television history to book over $2.2 billion in advertising revenue during an upfront selling period.

Michael earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Film, Television and Theatre from the University of Notre Dame. He serves on the boards of Notre Dame’s Performing Arts Advisory Council, the Success Through Education Program (STEP) benefiting students living in South Los Angeles and is a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.

A South Side of Chicago native, Michael resides in Los Angeles with his wife of 27 years, filmmaker and screenwriter Christine Swanson, and their four children.
