Biography

Sarah Galasso began her career in 2000, as the first-ever, full-time animator at Fisher-Price, Inc. After six years with the company, Sarah launched August Productions. 

Sarah's student films screened at a variety of venues including the Brooklyn Museum of Art. For her professional contributions, Sarah has received the Champion Performer Award from the President of Fisher-Price, three Telly Awards, and the 2014 Award of Excellence from the Videographer Awards, for her role as Executive Animator on the nationally-aired ABC-TV documentary, Building a Basilica.

In addition to running August Productions, Sarah is also very passionate about teaching. She was a Full Professor and the Program Director of the BFA in Animation Program at Villa Maria College, in Buffalo, New York, from 2008-2020. She is now an Associate Professor in the Digital Media Arts Program at Canisius College, where she looks forward to sharing her knowledge and experience with the next generation of up-and-coming artists and storytellers.
