Medair is a Christian humanitarian organisation that responds to conflict, disease, and disaster so that the world's most vulnerable and hard-to-reach people can live with dignity and hope. In 1988, a small group of medical volunteers travelled to Uganda to provide relief to displaced people who were returning to devastated communities. By 1989, Medair was officially registered as an NGO in Switzerland. Since then, Medair has provided emergency relief to over 50 million people in 43 crisis-affected countries.
